For offboard wiring of effect boards I use 0.25mm² stranded wire with a length of about 11cm. I strip them 6mm.

Ground: Black \\
9V: Red \\
Input: Green \\
Output: Blue \\
Tone: Yellow \\
Other: Purple, Orange, White, Grey
